Cambridge Savings Bank

Cambridge Savings Bank recently donated $5,100 to benefit Friendship Home Inc. of Norwell. The funds will be used to help provide individuals with developmental disabilities quality respite care and support services.

 

Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank

The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Trust donated $10,000 to the Cape Cod Times Needy Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance for Cape and islands residents facing temporary hardships.

 

Mechanics Cooperative Bank

Mechanics Cooperative Bank recently donated $10,000 in support of the Fall River United Way and its fuel/food assistance program to help local families in need.

Mechanics Cooperative Bank also announced the winners of the first annual “Let’s Keep it Local!” community grant program. They are:

  • First place – Forever Paws Animal Shelter ($15,000)
  • Second place – Kids Kickin’ Cancer ($7,500)
  • Third place (tie) – Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen ($2,500)
  • Third place (tie) – St. Vincent’s Home ($2,500)

 

East Boston Savings Bank

East Boston Savings Bank raised $60,000 at its Annual Holiday Auction through the sale of employee- and vendor-donated items, including tickets to sporting events, gift baskets and gift cards, electronics, homemade arts and crafts and toys.

 

Hometown Bank

Hometown Bank concluded its 12th annual Neighbors Helping Neighbors campaign, an initiative to raise funds to support local food pantries, with a holiday breakfast at which checks for $3,000 were presented to each of the seven participating agencies. Bank customer and employee donations surpassed records, totaling at $10,500. Hometown Bank matched the donation for a campaign total of $21,000.

 

James and Carol Herscot

James and Carol Herscot donated $17.5 million to Massachusetts General Hospital to support the Carol and James Herscot Center for children and adults with tuberous sclerosis complex.

 

Skanska USA

Skanska USA has donated $10,000 to the Boston Arts Academy to support continued arts education.

 

SpencerBANK

SpencerBANK employees donated toys to 21 children living in Spencer to support the Spencer Toys for Kids campaign.
