Bay State Savings Bank employees participated in National Wear Red Day on Feb. 5 to support “Go Red for Women,” a program of the American Heart Association.

Bay State Savings Bank

Bay State Savings Bank employees raised $300 for the American Heart Association’s campaign, Go Red for Women.

 

Berkshire Bank

Berkshire Bank announced its charitable foundations donated a total of more than $1.8 million in grants to nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and Vermont during 2015. Additionally, Berkshire Bank provided approximately $500,000 in community sponsorships in 2015.

 

Commodore Builders

Commodore Builders sorted donations and created emergency clothing packages for runaway children.

 

Country Bank

Country Bank recently presented Abby’s House with a check for $3,050. The organization assists homeless and battered women.

 

MutualOne Bank

The MutualOne Charitable Foundation has distributed a $5,000 grant to Jewish Family Service  of Metrowest in support of a program that helps frail elders in Framingham and Natick with their medical needs.

 

North Brookfield Savings Bank

North Brookfield Savings Bank recently donated $500 to The Literacy Project, a nonprofit organization that provides adult education in five locations throughout Franklin, Hampshire and Worcester Counties.

 

Northern Bank & Trust

Northern Bank & Trust Charitable Foundation has distributed a $5,000 grant to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell and $2,500 to Budget Buddies in Chelmsford.

 

The Northern Bank & Trust Charitable Foundation has also awarded $5,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Billerica to support of its mission to provide direction and guidance to young people.

 

Porrazzo Rink

Porrazzo Rink in East Boston will hold a public skating event on Feb. 14 to benefit the Denna Laing Fund. $1 from every admission will be donated and FMC will match any additional donations made at the arena that day. Denna suffered a spinal cord injury while playing in the Women’s Classic at Gillette Stadium, leaving her with no feeling in her legs and partial feeling in one arm. Donations to the fund will help cover medical costs as she recovers.

 

RCN, WAAF-FM

RCN announced it will partner with WAAF-FM for HomeStart’s ICycle event to help raise funds and awareness about homelessness.

 

Webster Five

The Webster Five Foundation has announced it will donate $3,000 to Life-Skills Inc. in Webster, an organization that provides day habilitation program, residential and vocational services to adults with developmental, emotional and intellectual disabilities. The funds will go toward new technological equipment.
