The Blue Hills Bank Charitable Foundation was honored earlier last month at the second annual Innovation in Financial Education Awards for its efforts in improving the financial capability of Americans.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England recently collected and donated hundreds of toiletries for Rosie’s Place, a nonprofit organization that provides emergency shelter, food, clothing and other services to poor and homeless women.

Hyatt Regency hotels recently helped out with local projects as part of the company’s community service month. Hyatt assisted with a children’s book collection, multiple Boston-area cleanups, sponsorship of the Kid’s Wish Network and raising money for local schools through casual for a cause.

MutualOne Bank’s charitable foundation recently distributed a $8,300 grant to SPARK Kindness Inc., a Natick-based nonprofit devoted to creating and supporting a community culture that empowers youth and promotes kindness and respect.
