Connecticut’s two federally recognized tribes are unveiling a new name, logo and website for their proposed casino near the Massachusetts state line.

MMCT Venture LLC, created by the Mashantucket Pequots and Mohegans, made the announcement Monday. It comes a day before the two tribes’ leaders will update Connecticut lawmakers on the status of the long-delayed project in East Windsor. The project, now known as Tribal Winds, has been awaiting federal approval.

A legislative committee has scheduled an informational forum on Tuesday to receive an update on the casino and entertainment complex, which is intended to compete with the new MGM Resorts’ casino in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The tribes said the East Windsor facility is projected to generate $75 million in state revenue and 2,000 permanent jobs once operational.
