The Danversbank Charitable Foundation recently donated $10,000 to the Fenway Community Development Corp. (CDC) for its affordable housing and community planning program.
The funds will help the Fenway CDC to preserve 36 units of affordable housing at 66-77 Burbank St., Boston and build potential pipeline of affordable housing for low- and moderate-income families and individuals.
Renovation of 66-70 Burbank Street, Boston began in February and will be completed in September. Fenway CDC acquired the property in 1995 via individual and block purchases of failed condominium units. Due to the decrepit condition, the property was gut rehabbed, with a substantial reconfiguration of the units. The donation will support substantial upgrades to the property.
