Cappy F. Daume Mark ConsoliBoston-based real estate firm The Davis Cos. has hired two real estate executives to the firm’s senior management team.

Cappy F. Daume has been named senior vice president for asset management; and Mark P. Consoli has been named chief financial officer.

Daume comes to the firm following 15 years with Jones Lang LaSalle in Boston, most recently as a managing director in its investment sales group. In her new position she will have asset management oversight responsibility for the existing 4.5 million-square-foot portfolio and planned additions, as well as a key role in supporting the firm’s growth through acquisitions.

As chief financial officer, Consoli is responsible for oversight of the financial operations of The Davis Cos., including accounting, finance, taxes, IT, insurance and financial reporting. He has 25 years of real estate experience in accounting, finance and operations in multiple asset classes including office, retail, multifamily and hotel. In addition, Consoli has been involved in more than $3 billion of capital transactions including fund formation and administration, acquisitions, dispositions, financings and recapitalizations, the company said.

Prior to joining The Davis Cos., Consoli served as corporate controller, senior vice president of finance, and chief operating officer during his 14-year tenure at Northland Investment Corp., a $2 billion diversified real estate operating and development company.

In addition to adding new positions, the firm is raising capital for a new $200 million fund, Davis Investment Ventures Value Opportunity Fund I, which will acquire debt and properties across all asset classes.

Having purchased more than $125 million in mortgages in the past nine months, Davis said it is building its new fund with a core group of almost 100 investors, many of whom have invested with The Davis Cos. for more than 20 years.
