King Street Properties is putting out the call to craft brewers interested in adding a signature amenity to its Pathways campus at Devens.

The Boston developer plans to open a taproom in the 700,000-square-foot life science and clean energy campus, which spans five buildings on 45 acres at the state-run business park.

Including 60 indoor and 90 outdoor seats, the taproom will be located in a 8,200-square-foot amenity center and is intended to offer a lunch option for 1,000 employees projected to work at the campus by 2025, King Street announced.

“The brewery selected for this opportunity must be comfortable operating a busy taproom that offers a third space for the campus and Devens community,” the developer stated.

The cafe will offer daily food and beverage service including lunch and a taproom schedule that can be based upon demand. Opening is scheduled for early 2024.

King Street has leased space at the new R&D campus to clean energy companies Commonwealth Fusion and Electric Hydrogen Co.

Taprooms and food halls have been a favored option for developers seeking to add amenities such as retail and restaurants to isolated suburban business parks.

In 2018, Mighty Squirrel Brewing Co. leased 23,000 square feet at Duffy Properties’ 1.2-million-square-foot Waverley Oaks Park in Waltham for a tap room and production brewery.

Lexington’s four-building Maguire Road office park acquired by Greatland Realty Partners and Singerman Real Estate in 2021 includes Revolution Hall, an open-air food hall.
