Boston-based Digital Geographic Technologies (DGT) has completed its acquisition of Gunther Engineering and its survey and engineering divisions.

Gunther Engineering and its divisions, including Aspinwall & Lincoln, William S. Crocker Co., New England Survey Service, Survey Engineers of Boston and J. F. Hennessy Co., have provided continuous consulting, civil engineering and land surveying services in the Greater Boston area for more than 125 years, the company said in a statement.

The new Gunther Engineering Division and the J.F. Hennessy Divisions of DGT will be managed with the DGT Survey Group as an integrated operation out of DGT’s Boston office.

"We are committed to continue the tradition of reliability and precision established by Gunther Engineering, as well as our own tradition of utilizing state-of-the-art measurement and office technology to produce the highest quality and most reliable surveys and design documents," says DGT Principal Michael A. Clifford.

DGT and its divisions provide services in Massachusetts and Rhode Island to assist clients in development, planning, design, construction, investment, financing and refinancing of commercial and private real estate and public works projects.
