Architecture and planning firm DiNisco Design Partnership is relocating its offices to 99 Chauncy St. in Boston and expanding its footprint by more than 1,000 square feet.

DiNisco, which said it wanted to remain in Downtown Boston and upgrade its space, will occupy 5,700 square feet in the 97,236-square-foot office property owned by Synergy Financial.

The firm is relocating from 87 Summer St., where it occupies 4,500 square feet. The company, which specializes in educational, municipal and institutional facilities, will manage the design of the new space, including an open floor plan, with a move date expected in late spring.

Brandon Leitner and Rick Lowe of Cresa in Boston represented DiNisco in the deal.
