The Druker Co. unveiled its designs for a 588,000-square-foot life science complex to replace a vacant industrial property near the Ink Block development in South End.

The Boston developer is seeking to demolish the vacant warehouse and build two connected office-lab buildings with 150-foot heights at 1033-1055 Washington St.

The property is located within the city’s Harrison Albany zoning corridor, which was upzoned in 2012 for taller building heights. Druker Co. is seeking approval under a planned development area for the project, which sits on a 2.1-acre site.

Last August, the Boston Planning & Development Agency enacted a new requirement that private developers disclose investment, employment and management roles for women and minorities in projects subject to the BPDA’s Article 80 review.

Druker Co. said it has selected Boston-based Mikyoung Kim Design as landscape architect, and will require that all companies in the project team assign leadership roles to women and minorities in design, project management, construction administration and execution.

The Druker Co. is redeveloping a block of buildings at 350 Boylston St., including the former Shreve, Crump and Low flagship store, as a new office building leased to Bain & Co.

The company also received approval last spring for a 10-story lab building at 80 East Berkeley St. in South End, replacing previous plans for an office building.
