In partnership with Exim Assoc. of Sharon and Burlington-based Middleton & Shrull, Boston-based Eastern Bank received the Ambassador’s Award from the Massachusetts Alliance for International Business (MAIB).
The group received the award for successful collaboration of seminars covering a full-range of export and import topics, finance, legal, compliance, transportation, and licensing to more than 1,000 individuals representing more than 200 companies in Massachusetts. The seminars help Massachusetts companies expand and succeed in the international marketplace, according to the MAIB.
The 2009 International Trade Achievement Awards, in their 14th year, recognize Massachusetts firms, institutions, public agencies or individuals who have demonstrated creativity and leadership in their international trade-related activities – fueling their success as well as contributing to the statewide economy.
"Many companies are innovating and growing their businesses in the international marketplace, overcoming the challenges of the current financial climate, and we believe it’s important to recognize these companies for their contributions to the Massachusetts economy," said Kristen Rupert, MAIB’s executive director.
