Miway Corp. has sold a former Bristol-Myers Squibb manufacturing building at 35 South St. in Hopkinton to LakePharma Inc. for $4.55 million.

Belmont, California-based LakePharma plans to reposition much of the existing office, lab and manufacturing space in the 69,009-square-foot building and use it as a biologics manufacturing site for clinical trials, according to Colliers International.

35 South Street was the long-time home for Stryker Biotech and most recently occupied by Olympus Biotech and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Colliers’ John Carroll III, Stephen Woelfel Jr. and Kevin Brawley represented the seller. JLL’s Phil Desimone represented LakePharma.

LakePharma has been expanding its Bay State presence, acquiring Worcester-based Blue Sky BioServices in 2016. In December, LakePharma announced that it raised $30 million in funding led by Ampersand Capital Partners to expand its biomanufacturing capabilities. The company has three locations in the San Francisco area and a research facility at 50 Prescott St. in Worcester.
