Gymnasia LLC has signed a long-term lease for 2,500 square feet at 1001 Watertown St. in Newton.

Adam Meixner and Jeremy Freid, of Boston Realty Advisors, represented both the tenant and the owner, Intrum Corp., in the transaction.

The exercise groups, member-run clubs, and unique circuits and classes at the new center, Gymnasium, is intended to revive the spirit of an "original gym," according to a statement.
