Former Brookline Bank VP Joins The Village Bank

David C. Pennybaker Jr. has joined Newton-based The Village Bank as a commercial lending officer, responsible for the development of new commercial and business relationships.

Pennybaker joins The Village Bank from Brookline Bank, where he served as assistant vice president, commercial relationship manager. Previously, he held commercial lending management positions with Wainwright Bank & Trust and Century Bank & Trust, according to a statement.

The Village Bank, established in 1910, is a state-chartered co-operative bank with seven full-service offices in Newton and Wayland. The bank also operates a so-called "Village Loan Center" in the Auburndale neighborhood of Newton.
