James DunphyJames Dunphy, the former CEO of Hampshire First Bank of New Hampshire before it merged with NBT in New York state, has joined South Shore Bank as an executive vice president. 

In his new position, Dunphy will oversee South Shore Bank’s commercial lending, credit and small business lending operations.

Dunphy began his career in 1987 as a tax preparer at Kennedy and Lehan CPAs in Quincy and became a manager at Grant Thornton LLP in 1989. In 1997, he joined Granite Bank as administrative vice president and controller, and was promoted to senior vice president in 2000. From 2006 to 2012, he served as president and CEO of Hampshire First Bank. He is a certified public accountant and certified management accountant.
