A 74,000-square-foot expansion and renovation of a Foxborough school is under way.

HMFH Architects is leading the project at the Foxborough Regional Charter School (FRCS) on 131 Central St. The school’s expansion includes the addition of 21 new full-sized classrooms, three science labs and a computer classroom to the high school building, as well as a new administration and programming area and a new double gymnasium.

Major renovations to the school include the transformation of the current auditorium into a new media center and the cafeteria/gym into a new cafeteria with a separate music/stage/performance area.

All construction is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2012.
