Quincy’s Foxrock Properties has purchased 40-42 Industrial Park Road in Plymouth for $6 million.
The 40 Industrial Park Road building is 42,000 square feet and hosts the Post Eye Center, the Mass. Registry of Motor Vehicles, the Mass. Department of Mental Health and the Mass. Rehabilitation Commission, according to a statement. The 42 Industrial Park Road building is 10,000 square feet and is home to The Pilgrim Area Collaborative School. Both buildings sit on a 13.88 acre parcel of land.
The 40 Industrial Park Road building was last purchased in December 1999 by Upland RT, according to records obtained by The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman. It was last assessed for $4 million.
The new owners plan on to make interior and exterior improvements to the property this spring, according to a statement. They also plan to add more buildings on the vacant areas of the parcel.
"I consider this Plymouth area a future ‘hotbed’ of activity,’" Robert Conrad, president of The Conrad Group, which negotiated the sale. "The demand will come from several sectors of our economy. Among those are the medical, bio-medical and distribution sectors."
