The Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation has awarded $5,000 to the John Andrew Mazie Memorial Foundation.
The program matches at-risk, vulnerable Framingham High School students with adult volunteers, according to a statement. The grant will be used to purchase laptop computers for students who have achieved basic goals toward the pursuit of a college education.
"Our board sincerely appreciates the bank’s past and current support, which has played a significant role in our ability to rescue at-risk youth in the community," said Lowell Mazie, executive director.
"We are happy to help this program for the third consecutive year because these students can now take control of their lives and pursue their future educational goals," said Robert Lamprey of the Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation.
