Daniel S. Fulton, president and CEO of forest product firm Weyerhaeuser Co., has been appointed chairman of the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies.
"We’re delighted to have an executive of Dan Fulton’s caliber as our new board chair," said Eric Belsky, managing director of the Joint Center. "His industry leadership, thorough knowledge of the housing sector, commitment to sustainable development and excellent judgment will be invaluable in this role."
"I’m honored to step into the chairman position," said Fulton. "As a longstanding member of the Policy Advisory Board, I’ve always respected the rigorous research taking place at the Joint Center. I’m looking forward to being involved on this new level."
Michael Thaman was also appointed the Joint Center board’s new vice chair, according to a statement. Thaman is the chairman and CEO of Owens Corning.
