Greentown Labs To Build 32K SF Facility In Somerville

Natick-based Dacon Corp. will construct a 32,000-square-foot office and manufacturing facility for Greentown Labs in Somerville.

Greentown Labs, a private incubator for energy-related startups, is currently located in Boston’s Innovation District. According to a press release, the company says the new space outside of the city will be "better suited for their specific needs," with high ceilings and loading docks.

Construction on the project, which will be built in the former Ames Safety Envelope Plant, is planned to begin in August. Dacon will be providing design/build mechanical, fire protection and electrical engineering services. Silverman Trykowski Assoc. of Boston is the architect.
