Brockton-based HarborOne Credit Union has made two donations of $2,500 each to the Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital and to the Boys and Girls Club of Brockton.
The contribution to Signature Healthcare was to support the hospital’s annual Champions Fighting Cancer Walk which benefits the Chrystine M. Sullivan memorial Foundation. The walk, now in its 10th year, will be held May 3.
The donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Brockton was to sponsor a testimonial dinner being held by the Club on May 21st to honor Willy Stadelmann, long time board member. Proceeds from the function will support the Club’s operating expenses.
"These are very challenging economic times for businesses, but they are more challenging for non-profits trying to provide essential human services. We all must do whatever we can to help our friends in the non-profit sector" said James Blake, president and CEO of HarborOne.
