The first high-rise development built in downtown Haverhill in decades has announced pricing and begun preleasing for 42 apartments overlooking the Merrimack River.

The Heights at Haverhill, a 10-story tower at 160 Merrimack St., is advertising rents starting at $2,367 including one month free with a signed lease.

Developed by The Lupoli Cos., the complex has been one of the Gateway City’s key downtown revitalization elements. Designed by Cube 3 Architects of Lawrence, it features a mix of one- and two-bedroom units with floor-to-ceiling windows, including terraces in 35 units. First move-ins are scheduled for September.

Bosa, a ground-floor Italian restaurant, and Bar Bosa on the rooftop level are scheduled to open in 2021.

Lupoli Cos. acquired the half-acre former municipal parking lot from the city of Haverhill in 2018 for $701,000.
