Hingham Savings Featured On Dan Rather Reports

Hingham Insitution For Savings headquarters in Hingham Dan Rather visited Hingham Square last month to interview Hingham Institution for Savings President & CEO Robert Gaughen about why community banks such as Hingham Savings have managed to prosper in these times, as some of the world’s biggest banks are floundering.

The interview is part of an episode titled "Meltdown," which premiered March 10 on Dan Rather Reports. "Meltdown" begins with the banking failures in Iceland, moves to commentary by noted economist Mark Zandi and policy journalist Phillip Longman, and ends with a 15-minute segment on Hingham Savings.

The bank’s segment includes discussion between Robert Gaughen and Dan Rather, and footage of the bank’s customers and businesses in Hingham Square.
