Daniel E. O’Neill recently joined Holyoke Credit Union (HCU) as senior vice president and commercial loan officer.

O’Neill has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry.

He is very active in organizations that promote civic volunteerism/involvement and currently serves on the board of directors of both the Holyoke Chamber of Commerce and the Holyoke YMCA, the credit union said in a statement.

"The very largest banks are in the midst of a credit crisis, and this has caused more and more local residents to turn to HCU as a source of financing for their small business needs," said Holyoke Credit Union President/CEO Michael E. Murphy. "With Dan’s addition and his considerable commercial lending skills, HCU will be fully prepared to meet our community’s small business borrowing needs."
