- Waltham-based Hobbs Brook Management has completed a pair of facade replacement projects at its 101 and 201 Edgewater Drive office buildings in Wakefield.
- Working with Boston-based Margulies Perruzzi Architects, Hobbs Brook replaced aging Travertine marble veneer panel façades with a metal panel rain screen system, installed energy-efficient vapor barriers and added metal panel canopies to mark building entrances.
- The project team also included general contractor Columbia Construction Co. of North Reading and landscape architect Cosmos Assoc. of Boston.
- Built in 1986 and acquired by Hobbs Brook in 2010, the buildings contain 175,000 square feet of class A office space.
“Hobbs Brook has a long-standing commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental stewardship across its portfolio, and is focused on providing tenants with healthy and productive work spaces. The façade replacement project presented an opportunity to upgrade to a better quality product that offered energy efficiency benefits as well as improved wayfinding with defined entrances.”
