As construction continues on the property’s signature 31-story office tower, developers on Wednesday commemorated the completion of The Hub on Causeway’s second phase including a boutique hotel, supermarket, apartment tower and new TD Garden fan amenities.
Boston Properties and Delaware North Cos. partnered on the 1.5 million-square-foot project that kicked off in 2016, transforming a parking lot on the site of the original Boston Garden.
The first two phases include a 15-screen ArcLight Cinema, 2-story Banners Kitchen & Tap, the 270-room citizenM hotel, 1,500-capacity Big Night Live concert venue, Guy Fieri’s Tequila Cocina restaurant, the 440-unit Hub50House apartment tower, an 18-vendor food hall, a 60,000-square-foot Star Market, 500-space expansion of the North Station garage, 145,000-square-foot office building leased to Rapid7, and 64,000-square-foot expansion of the TD Garden.
The 31-story office tower designed by Gensler is scheduled for completion in spring 2021, and is 87 percent preleased with Verizon’s East Coast Innovation Center occupying 17 floors.
