Marshfield mold removal company Indoor Environmental has named Bob Bowen operations manager.

A Marshfield resident, Bowen will oversee the direction and marketing of the new company, which provides inspections and testing for mold and moisture, as well as remediation of the problem.

Bowen, who is one of the partners in the organization, holds Certified Mold Inspection (CMI) and Certified Mold Remediation Contractor (CMRC) designations.

Indoor Environmental serves homeowners, businesses, municipal facilities and schools.  Indoor Environmental’s market includes metro Boston, the South Shore and Cape Cod.

Bowen is the former vice president of field operations for Hiram Walker and former vice president/division manager for Maidstone Wine & Spirits, both under the umbrella of the British owned Allied Domecq. His experience also includes starting and running his company, Frosted Beverages International, which produced a line of wine-based ready-to-serve cocktails.

After leaving the liquor industry, Bowen worked in the mortgage industry, being affiliated on the retail side with Bank of America and Poli Mortgage Group, and on the wholesale side with National City.

Indoor Environmental is the creation of Bowen’s and his brother Jim of Pembroke. Jim Bowen is a 25-year veteran of the construction industry, a licensed contractor who is experienced in both construction and deconstruction under his company name, J.P. Bowen Construction of Pembroke.
