J. Derenzo Co., a Boston-based site work and excavation firm, was listed among the top third of companies in ENR magazine’s 2013 ranking of the nation’s top 600 specialty contractors.

The company was also listed at No. 11 in the excavation and foundation specialty category. It was the only Boston firm included on the list.

ENR’s annual review of specialty contractors covers the mechanical, electrical, masonry, concrete, walls and ceilings, utilities, glazing, painting, roofing, demolition and wrecking, asbestos abatement, sheet metal and steel erection trades. These contractors accounted for $81.3 billion in total revenue in 2012, up from $72 billion in 2011.
