Lamplighter Brewing Co. will open a tap room and production space at Cambridge Crossing this summer after revising plans in the wake of the pandemic.

In 2019, Lamplighter and Luminari Spirits announced plans for a taproom and microdistillery at The Shed, the 4.5 million-square-foot development’s two-story retail building.

Construction of the space has resumed this spring as a 7,000-square-foot Lamplighter CX taproom and production facility, without the microdistillery element.

“We’re thrilled to resume construction and pursue this opportunity after a year that has been filled with uncertainty. Wild, funky, and sour beer has always been a focus for us and utilizing our site at Cambridge Crossing as a dual barrel production facility and taproom is incredibly exciting,” Co-Founder Cayla Marvil said in a statement.

DivcoWest’s complete Cambridge Crossing project will include more than 2 million square feet of office and lab space and 100,000 square feet of retail. Construction of a 375,000-square-foot life science building at 441 Morgan Ave. is scheduled to begin in June.
