Law firm Kearney, Donovan & McGee P.C. and The Strategy Group, a public affairs and community relations firm, have restructured a shared, 6,760-square-foot office lease at 40 Court St. in Boston’s Financial District.

Both companies occupy a portion of the 11th floor in the 110,000-square-foot building, built in 1912.

Rick Lowe and Brandon Leitner of Cresa Boston represented the co-tenants in the lease transaction. According to Leitner, this "blend and extend" transaction resulted in immediate savings for the joint tenants.

The landlord, New York-based real estate investor Brickman, was represented by Tim Lyne and Bill Crean of CBRE in the deal. Brickman purchased the property from The Carlyle Group for $37 million in 2007. The city of Boston’s Assessing Department valued the property at $18.2 million earlier this year.
