R. Wayne Lopez has been named director of sales and marketing for The Abbey Group’s 45 Province luxury condominium development in Boston.

Lopez, most recently managing director at Otis & Ahearn Real Estate in Boston, has 20-plus years of experience in the real estate and marketing industry.

"I am excited to work for The Abbey Group, a well-respected company with deep roots in the Boston area. They have a great product at 45 Province and I look forward to helping with their sales and marketing efforts," Lopez said.

"Wayne is someone who shares our passion for the community that we have created at 45 Province," said Abbey Group President David Epstein. "We are very excited to have him join the Abbey Group family, and feel that his skill set and experience in the residential real estate market make him a great fit for us."

Buyers closed on four units in 45 Province last May and another nine units in June. Since the start of last July, though, the Abbey Group has closed on just three sales. The last sale recorded with the Registry of Deeds closed in January, and carried a price tag of $432,000. The Abbey Group has closed on roughly $23 million in sales to date and is carrying a $120 million construction loan, according to a recent analysis in Banker & Tradesman.
