An original tenant of a 220,000-square-foot distribution center at 301 Bartlett St. in Northborough is more than doubling its space after signing a lease for expansion.
Interior finishings manufacturer Metrie expanded to 121,623 square feet at 301 Bartlett St.
The 220,106-square-foot distribution center was developed on speculation and secured a pair of leases by Metrie and Maintenance Supply Headquarters prior to completion.
Metrie is scheduled to begin occupying the additional office, manufacturing, storage and distribution space in October, according to Avison Young.
Avison Young Senior Vice President Bill Sullivan and Vice President Jon Pezzoni represented Metrie in the negotiations along with Matt Walker from the firm’s Vancouver office. Colliers International represented ownership.
“The Greater Boston industrial sector’s market fundamentals remain strong as the demand for premium high-bay buildings continues, driven by manufacturing companies, life sciences and other logistics users,” Sullivan said in a statement.
