The Massachusetts Association of Realtors (MAR) will delay the scheduled monthly release of pending sales figures. Historically, it has released these figures on the second Tuesday of the month. It is unclear when the releases will resume.

In May, MLS-PIN, the state’s largest multiple listing service, changed the way in which it designates which properties are pending and/or under agreement in its system, making it impossible to simply compare current numbers with those from prior years. MAR’s initial release of May’s pending sales figures contained errors due to this issue, as first reported in Banker & Tradesman. 

MAR is "still in the process of working with our analytics vendor and the Multiple Listing Service on creating a solution to produce comparative year-over-year pending sales data. We feel confident that we will be able to re-calculate the data, but until we know for sure, we are will not be issuing pending sales data this month," wrote MAR spokesman Eric Berman in a statement.
