Lisa J. Haynes has been named chief financial officer (CFO) of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).

As CFO, Haynes will provide executive level leadership and management of the association’s accounting and financial functions, including setting the policies, procedures, strategies and practices for these functions. She will advise MBA’s President and CEO David H. Stevens and MBA’s senior leadership team with respect to financial reporting, financial stability and liquidity and financial growth.    

Haynes has with more than 25 years of finance, accounting, planning and leadership experience, with a focused expertise on budgeting, expense management, forecasting and cash flow projections. She comes to the MBA from Fannie Mae where she was most recently vice president for operational accounting.

Haynes will start at MBA within the next month and will report to Stevens.    

"Lisa knows finance and accounting, and she knows the real estate finance business, so she is a perfect fit for MBA," Stevens said in a statement. "She has a wide range of expertise, including strategic planning and execution, which will make her a critical member of MBA’s senior leadership team."
