LeMaitre Vascular, a medical device company, has renewed and expanded its lease to 55,000 square feet at 53 & 63 Second Ave. in Burlington’s Northwest Park.

LeMaitre has occupied the single level office/flex building at 63 Second Ave. since 2003. The facility serves as its corporate headquarters, and houses R&D and manufacturing processes for the company’s line of medical device products.

Landlord Nordlom Co. is planning to connect the two buildings with a covered walkway, and make significant improvements to the new building including raising a section of the roof to accommodate the installation of LeMaitre’s specialized equipment.

LeMaitre will be consolidating the operations at 1 North Ave. in Burlington, and a manufacturing facility in Brindisi, Italy, into 53 Second Ave. this summer.

In addition to the Burlington location, LeMaitre also has locations in Germany and Japan.
