Mello Joins Commerce Bank

Commerce Bank has hired Paula Mello as senior vice president of commercial real estate.

In this role, Mello is responsible for new business development and growing the commercial real estate portfolio for the Greater Boston and suburban markets. She will work from the bank’s main office in Worcester.

Mello has 25 years of banking experience, most recently working as senior relationship manager for TD Bank N.A. She has developed a track record of cultivating lending relationships with both national and regional commercial real estate investors and developers with a specialty in debt structuring, construction and project development, REIT and fund lending and syndications. She previously worked as assistant vice president of commercial real estate at Fleet Bank and Bank of New England.

Mello is a member of New England Women in Real Estate. She has served on the board for several nonprofit groups, including Special Olympics of Massachusetts.
