An award-winning Waltham brewery will make its Boston debut with the opening of beer hall and restaurant at the Fenway’s Bower apartment complex.

Mighty Squirrel leased 13,500 square feet for its future location on David Ortiz Way, which is scheduled to open in October following an interior buildout, co-founder Naveen Pawar said. The Fenway location, with an estimated capacity of 500 patrons, will offer both lunch and dinner in partnership with a soon-to-be-disclosed food vendor, Pawar said.

Mighty Squirrel brews a wide range of styles including its top-selling Cloud Candy, a New England-style IPA. Its Oktoberfest variety won a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival last fall.

Mighty Squirrel’s brewery and first tap room opened in 2018 at the 1.2 million-square-foot Waverly Oaks Office Park in Waltham, part of landlord Duffy Properties’ strategy to add amenities for office tenants. The facility spans 23,000 square feet.

Pawar said Boston Urban Partners, representing the Bower’s ownership, approached him about his interest in opening the Fenway location. The brewery signed a letter of intent in January before recently completing the lease negotiation with the Bower owners, he said.

“They had known about us for a long time and had reached out to us about multiple locations, and this one looked interesting,” he said.

The two-building, 312-unit Bower is the first phase of the Fenway Center development built on Massachusetts Department of Transportation air rights.

The brewery also has hosted summer beer gardens at Arsenal Yards in Watertown, which will continue this year.

The Fenway location will join a growing restaurant scene at the property, located next to the MBTA’s Lansdowne commuter rail station and the Massachusetts Turnpike.

Eastern Standard founder Garrett Hawker announced plans for four restaurants spanning 20,000 square feet of ground-floor space in the Bower’s retail space facing Beacon Street.
