Mark Whalen of Dedham has been promoted to chief operating officer of Needham Bank. He previously served as executive vice president.
In this role, Whalen will assist in the overall administration of the bank, with responsibility that includes line and staff departments. As COO, Whalen will coordinate activities of the bank in accordance with the policies and objectives established by Needham Bank President/CEO Jack W. McGeorge.
Whalen has nearly 30 years of experience in the banking industry and is the former president/CEO of the Dedham Cooperative Bank. He joined Needham Bank in March 2007 when the two institutions merged.
