Emulex, a networking solutions firm in Bolton, has hired Quincy-based J. Calnan & Assoc. Inc. to renovate and consolidate its existing offices and laboratories at 580 Main St.

Emulex is downsizing from 50,500 square feet on three floors to 33,200 square feet on two floors, according to a statement. The project involves significant upgrades to the office space and common areas, including adding a gym, renovation and expansion of the restrooms and shower facilities and the construction of new laboratory space to support the firm’s business.
