A development team including City Realty executives submitted plans to revamp a Brighton property containing a retail and office building as a 30-unit apartment complex.

The 358 Chestnut Hill Ave. property is currently occupied by a convenience store with offices on the upper floors.

358 Chestnut Hill Ave Realty Trust proposes a 6-story, 20,055-square-foot building 17,620-square-foot building on the 0.4-acre parcel, including five income-restricted apartments. 

Developers acquired the property in April 2021 for $3.45 million.

The project would include 1,010 square feet of retail space and 19 vehicle spaces in a rear parking lot.

A public comment period runs through Sept. 4. The $10.5 million project is projected to begin in early 2025.
