Haverhill-based Pentucket Bank has introduced what it is calling "a new train of thought in banking" with a new logo and slogan – "On Track Together Since 1891."
Twenty-five years ago, Pentucket Bank introduced a cartoon train as a logo and combined it with the advertising theme, "The Little Bank That Could." The image was popular at the time, and has now been refreshed and reintroduced, the bank said in a statement.
"Because of the positive visibility of our logo and theme among customers and non-customers alike, we thought long and hard about making a change. In the end we decided to streamline our train design and change our theme to one that better reflects our longstanding commitment to the community," said Scott D. Cote, Pentucket president and CEO. "While we still approach each day with the same determination and still provide the highest level of personalized service, we now operate a much larger and stronger organization, one that is positioned to better service the ever-increasing demands of both our personal and business customers."
The new logo and theme are already on letterhead and business cards, and will soon appear in all communications put out by Pentucket Bank.
"We’re really excited about it," added Cote. "And frankly, we have our own customers to thank for the change. Not only did they believe in us when we were ‘The Little Bank That Could,’ but their loyalty over the years has brought us to where we are today."
