Richard C. Pierce has been elected to serve as chairman of the board for Randolph Savings Bank, succeeding Roy Conrad.

"My goal is to continue Randolph Savings Bank’s commitment to the communities it serves and to keep the Bank strong, profitable, and independent well into the future," Pierce said in a statement.

Pierce is the president of Housing Management Resources Inc., an affordable housing property management company located in North Quincy. He has served Randolph Savings in some capacity for almost 20 years, being elected a corporator in 1992 and becoming a director in 1995.

"In order for the bank to grow and prosper in the years to come, new leadership can provide the opportunity to hone our competitive edge and ensure our continued success," outgoing Chairman Conrad said in a statement. "The bank’s 160 year history is a testament to that."

Conrad will remain an active member of the board, the bank said in a statement.
