Redfin has happily represented luxury home sellers in the Boston area for some time. Now, it’s opening up its services to luxury buyers, too.

The Redfin Premier service debuted in 14 markets nationwide, including Boston, on Wednesday, the company said in a blog post.

“Redfin Premier agents have spent years building their reputations and relationships with other agents, which means we can get buyers in to see Premier homes faster and help negotiate successful offers. It also means we have the depth of experience necessary to anticipate and manage any challenges that may arise throughout the buying process,” Los Angeles-area Redfin Premier agent Costanza Genoese-Zerbi said in a statement provided by the company.

The rollout comes with additional efforts to brand Redfin Premier agents’ web presences, including awards, sales statistics and client reviews, and changes to home listings that qualify for the Premier service.

The combined brokerage and listings portal said it hopes that its flat 1 percent agent fee will help lure clients from more established luxury brokerages
