A $3 million redesign of the Avery Bar at Boston’s Ritz-Carlton hotel includes intimate seating areas, dark oak parquet floors and furnishings and light marble tabletops.

Designed by AvroKO and Darlow Christ Architects, the project added two entry screens and symmetrical drapery framing the five-star hotel’s updated bar area. The bar’s original layout was inspired by the design of Boston Common, with seating areas grouped around a central zone.

Corderman & Co. provided construction management services with a team led by project manager David Dixon. The Boston-based company’s lobby renovation experience includes such properties as 99 High, 855 Boylston St. and 131 Dartmouth St.
