Matthew Roddy has joined Rockland Trust’s Investment Management Group (IMG) as vice president and portfolio manager.
Roddy, who has worked in the Boston market for 15 years, will be responsible for managing client portfolios, performing securities research and setting investment policy, while establishing and growing the bank’s first investment office in Boston.
Prior to joining Rockland Trust, he was a senior vice president, market investment director and portfolio manager with United States Trust Company, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, where he managed $1.6 billion in assets for high net-worth families and small institutions. Previously he was a financial consultant with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and Salomon Smith Barney.
Roddy is a CFA Charterholder (CFA), Certified Trust Financial Advisor (CTFA), and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). He is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Graduate Trust School at Emory University and earned a bachelor’s degree in health policy and management from Providence College, where he remains an active member of the Boston Alumni Society.
