The South Eastern Economic Development (SEED) Corp. recently awarded loans to two businesses in Foxborough and Plainville, totaling $1.02 million.

Stopa & Assoc. in Foxborough and Building Envelope Systems in Plainville received the loans, which they will use to expand, creating six new jobs altogether.

Stopa & Assoc. LLC received $79,200 for the purchase and renovation of a commercial condominium at 132 Central St. in Foxborough, where the law firm will relocate. The project will create one new job.

Building Envelope Systems, which specializes in steel work, received a loan under the SBA 504 program for $631,000 to purchase real estate, and $308,000 for the purchase and installation of equipment, which will allow the company to increase sales and take on projects they cannot currently accommodate. The project will create five new jobs.
