A leading owner of senior living communities acquired an 80-unit Shrewsbury property for $36 million.

Completed in 2017, The Residence at Orchard Grove includes independent, assisted living and memory care units in a 75,000-square-foot building at 258 Walnut St.

The buyer is Chicago-based Ventas, a publicly-traded REIT that owns approximately 1,400 properties containing 75,000 senior housing units.

JLL Senior Managing Directors Jay Wagner, Aaron Rosenzweig and Rick Swartz and Director Jim Dooley represented the seller, Blue Moon Capital Partners, and procured the buyer.
