Vivint Solar has signed a lease renewal and expansion at 53 Brigham St. in Marlborough’s Brigham Business Park.
The Lehi, Utah-based company will occupy 18,187 square feet, up from its previous 10,450 square feet.
Vivint Solar closed on its initial public offering in October, generating proceeds of $301 million. The company, which provides residential solar installations in seven states including Massachusetts, announced recently that it will open more than 20 new sales and operations offices in 2015.
Avison Young Vice President Bill Sullivan represented the landlord, Greenwich, Conn.-based Ivy Realty. Coldwell Banker represented Vivint Solar.
Brigham Business Park comprises 169,230 square feet of office, flex/R&D, industrial, warehouse, distribution and manufacturing space within three high-bay buildings located at 19, 41 and 53 Brigham St. AT&T signed a 10-year, 21,106-square-foot industrial lease at 19 Brigham St. in December. Other tenants include Carquest Auto Parts, Fastenal Co. and Ambri Inc.
Ivy Realty purchased the park from First Colony Development in December 2014 for $14.5 million.
"As demonstrated by both Vivint Solar and AT&T’s long-term commitments to the location, Marlborough is considered a top choice for companies seeking access to a large pool of knowledge workers and an easy commute to the region’s most desirable residential areas," Tim Cummings, executive director of the Marlborough Economic Development Corp., said in a statement.
