Spencer Savings Bank recently made a final installment on the second half of a $10,000 donation pledged to NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Center, which helps to provide homebuyer counseling and education services in South Worcester County.
The pledge was initially made in 2010, as a split donation over a two-year timeframe.
"This donation enables NeighborWorks to continue to provide homeownership counseling. The bank has also offered space on site at our main office for the organization to teach classes and hold individual counseling sessions for current and prospective homeowners in South Worcester County," said Spencer Savings Bank’s President and CEO Mike Robbins. "We support this cause particularly since it will benefit our local community by encouraging stability through an increase in homeownership."
The NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Center of Worcester has been providing homeowner education and counseling since 2002. NeighborWorks strives to continue and adapt its services to best meet the needs of homeowners in South Worcester County.
