State Street Global Advisors, the investment management business of State Street Corp., has appointed Marc Reinganum to head its active developed market equities team.

Based in Boston, Reinganum is responsible for all aspects of active management within the global developed market equity portfolios, and reports to Arlene Rockefeller, chief investment officer for global equities.

Reinganum was previously with Oppenheimer Funds, where he was a senior portfolio manager and director of Quantitative Research leading the research and investment technology teams and spearheading the portfolio strategy function.

"Marc brings a unique combination of investment management skills and academic research credentials to this demanding and important role," said Rockefeller. "His strong track record of investment performance, his background in quantitative investing and experience in developing dynamic investment models, will add significant breadth and depth to our global equity team."
